Vietnam's thermal coal imports dropped by 17% m-o-m to 3.67 mnt in Sep'23 as against 4.42 mnt in August. Imports surged by nearly 90% y-o-y to 3.67 mnt as against 1.93 mnt in Sep'22. Indonesia was the largest exporter at 1.19 mnt (up 22%) followed by Australia at 1.14 mnt. Imports from Russia and South Africa dropped 8% respectively in the month under review.
