Amid the ongoing civil unrest in South Africa, force majeure has been implemented at NATCOR railway line which forms a key link between the northern coal mines of the country and the major ports like Richards Bay and Durban. So far, several ports and a few mining companies have also declared force majeure and no coal dispatch is currently taking place from RBCT port, informed market participants.
